Biography:

Conor Keighrey is a research candidate in the Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), Ireland. He received his BSc. in Computer Network Management and Cloud Infrastructure in 2016 and is currently in pursuit of his PhD. His current research work focuses on understanding the key influencing factors that affect quality of experience of emerging immersive multimedia experiences (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality).

He is highly active within the multimedia research community working closely as part of the technical programme committee for several international conferences. More recently he has been asked to serve as web chair for the International Conference on Quality of Multimedia Experience.

Conor has won numerous international awards including the Best Student Paper Award at the International Conference on Quality of Multimedia Experience and the Special Interest Group on Multimedia Best Social Media Reporter Award. In parallel to his research, Conor has worked with Athlone Institute of Technology industry partners in the medical technology sector in addition to developing immersive multimedia experiences for the Confirm Centre of Smart Manufacturing.
